The qualification of AAT Foundation Diploma in Accounting and Business (Level 2) provides you the opportunity to excel in book-keeping, accounting, and payroll practices performed both manually and computerised. You will see yourself producing accounting and payroll information manually as well as using computerised accounts software. You will also gain a thorough understanding of accounting functions being performed within an organisation.
The successful completion of this AAT qualification makes you an eligible candidate for the following jobs areas: book-keeping, purchase and sales ledger clerk, cashier, data entry. Also, if you wish to continue your studies, this qualification routes you to the AAT Advanced Level 3 Diploma in Accountancy.
Course duration
Up to 1 Year.
Entry Criteria
Valid for 16-19 years old only. 5 GCSEs at grade 4 / c or above, including Maths and English. Or, the candidate must have completed a recognised alternative qualification at Merit level plus English and Maths GCSE at grade C and above or equivalent.
Assessment
Total number of units to be completed in a year are 9. The assessment will be done via computer-based exams covering a total of 8 exams. At the end of the year, the Synoptic exam will be conducted to test the financial skills of the candidate.
